In Memoriam
Lorene McKee -
who went home
to be with her Lord on June 14, 2004 --
dear grandmother to Bonnie Scholl, Gateway's
faithful volunteer since 1997. Bonnie is blind, but this hasn't stopped her
from serving Him; Mrs. McKee's advanced age (96) didn't stop her from
faithfully supporting the Gateway ministry.
Alice Westbrook -
who went home to
be with her Lord in March, 2004 - -
dear mother and mother in law of Rev. Michael and
Maria Westbrook, Gateway's Board Chairman and 'First Lady'; a strong
supporter of the Gateway ministry.
Andy Andersen -
who
went to be with his Lord, November 30, 2002
In his own words... "Life's best gifts do not come in little boxes
adorned with colorful wrapping paper and large red ribbons. Life's best
gifts are in the brilliance of an evening sunset, sweet smelling spring
flowers, a gentle summer rain, an ocean's roar, the confidence of friends,
love of a spouse, and God's peace in your heart. Not only do I enjoy these
gifts but they are part of my life.
My friend, if you have not taken time to enjoy a sunset, smell the flowers,
feel God's liquid sunshine, hear the ocean's majesty, communicate with
friends, love your spouse as yourself and allow God's peace into your heart,
it is not too late."
"My personal and social views are extremely conservative and I am passionate
about the pro-life issue." Andy Andersen

Chris Larsen -

w ho went home to be with His Lord, Christmas Day, 2000
“I personally miss his gentle smile, his wisdom, his love of Jesus, and
his excitement at the many opportunities for ministry. Although blind, he
could see better than most of us . Rev. Chris Larson was a prayer warrior
for Gateway.
With his daughter's permission, we established the “Chris Larson
Memorial” to raise the $15,000 needed to fulfill Chris's last desire for
Gateway – the purchase and use of an ultrasound machine for the Elizabeth
office. Chris himself raised over $5,000 toward this project.
The Lord blessed us with $25,000 within 9-months of the establishment of
the fund! The new ultrasound machine was brought to our 2001 Banquet., for
all our supporters to see what the Lord provided. A plaque was placed on
the machine itself, and it was dedicated to the memory of Brother Chris!
Since 2001, hundreds have seen their preborn child via ultrasound. Many
have come to Christ as a direct result of the Holy Spirit softening their
hearts after they saw their baby on the screen.
In Chris' own words, paraphrasing the emperor Napoleon, we believe ‘the
Lord was honored by the size of our request' .

among them, Gateway supporters
Don
and Jean
Peterson
Their pastor said this: "I wasn't on that plane, but I
believe I know what happened. At the end, I'm sure they were praying and
ministering with the others, encouraging them to be right with the Lord,"
Loveland said. "That's what their lives were about."
